Albin “Al” Oslick

 Albin “Al” Oslick, 84, of Peoria, formerly of Elmhurst, IL and Georgetown, TX, passed away at 10:10 AM on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Unity Point Health Proctor. He was born August 10, 1933 in Chicago, IL to Albin and Vhosta “Virginia” (Holubec) Oslick. He married Joan Rose Piskulski on February 14, 1953 in Chicago, IL, she survives.

Also surviving are two children, Karen (Randy) Skender of Canton, and Brian Oslick of Milwaukee, WI; one grandson, Ryan (Adrienne) Skender of Eureka, IL; three great-grandchildren, Jonesy, Jackson, and Ryan.

Al was preceded in death by his parents and one sister and brother in law, Alice (Joe) Karel.

Al worked as a draftsman/engineer at SOLA Electric in Elk Grove Village, IL, where he retired in 1995. After retirement he relocated to Georgetown, TX, then moved to Peoria, IL in 2016. He loved traveling, swimming, and computers.

Al served in the Army during the Korean War.

Per Al’s request there will be no services. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Burial of ashes will be at a later date in Georgetown, TX. Memorials can be made to American Diabetes Association. To make online condolences you may go to

    Oslick Family,
    My sincere condolences go out to you and your family….I used to take care of Joan at LHV for awhile & I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Al. I work for Apostolic Christian Home. He will be missed…he Cared greatly for Joan and her well being.
