Darrell Dewitte Fulk

Darrell Dewitte Fulk, 82, of San Jose, IL, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family at 6:15 PM on Saturday, March 31, 2018. He was born on March 21, 1936 in Natrona, IL to Amos and Alma (Keith) Fulk. He married Deloris McLauglin on September 5, 1959 at Epworth Methodist Church in Peoria, IL, she survives.

Also surviving is daughter; Teresa Hamilton of San Jose, IL; four grandchildren, Nicole (Tim) Sedlacek, Alexander (Kaitlin) Hamilton, Kaitlyn Hamilton, Alicia (Michael) McGinnis; great-granddaughter, Mia Grace Hamilton.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, son, Charles Fulk, great-grandson, Desmond Sedlacek, three brothers, Wilbur, Weldon, and Delbert Fulk; two sisters, Wilma Sheffler, and Judith Fulk.

Darrell was as a foundry worker for Caterpillar for over 30 years and retired. He served in the United States Army.

Services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Endsley-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Bartonville, IL, where a visitation will be held an hour prior to services. Allen Payne will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria, IL. Memorials can be made to the San Jose Fire Department. To leave online condolences you may go to www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com

    Jerry as I knew him was a kind gentle soul, a man with a smile and kind words, He has a wonderful and loving wife as well who I love , and his daughter , Teri, I went to school with and always consider her a sister , Chuck was a cool dude , and I am sure that he and his Father are together once again , May God wrap his arms of compassion around Jerry’s whole family and his relation , my deepest and heartfelt sympathies to the entire Fulk family He will be missed , but never forgotten He was a good man and now he is with the Lord in Paradise !

    Dee Teresa and the Fulk family . So sorry to hear about Darrell. We all lost a great man with Darrell passing. I have only known him for 30 + years but considered him my uncle.
