Sally J. Barnett

 Sally J. Barnett, 72 of Canton, passed away at 11:20 PM on Friday, September 29, 2017 at her residence. She was born on December 30, 1944 in Peoria, a daughter of Raymond and Helen (Boughan) Finley. She married the love of her life Harold Barnett on October 19, 1963 in Canton. He survives.

Also surviving are her children, William Barnett, Sonja (Barnett- Baker) Strubbe, Annette (Blake) Myers and Douglas Barnett all of Canton; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and one sister Vicki Daily of Canton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Harold Barnett Jr.; three grandchildren and one sister, Joan Turley.

Sally graduated Canton High School, and was a homemaker, was of the Nazarene Faith, and she enjoyed traveling and fishing, was an avid Chicago Cubs Fan, and she loved to be near her family and grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton. Cremation rites will be accorded. Rev. Randy Munson will officiate.     We are so sorry that Sally has been taken from us; our prayer is that she is now at peace in the presence of God. Our sincere sympathy goes out to her husband, Harold, and to her children and grandchildren. The life of someone so loved is a blessing forever!

    Sally Jo and I were childhood friends on east locust street. We played many games in the neighbor
    hood,especially during the summer .I remember she always sang for our plays and had lots of cowboy minuatures,and paper dolls. XO,Bunny

    Later years till remember the fun we had as kids
    My mom and Helen were also friends
